Please join us for a dinner meeting on Tuesday, March 21st.  The meeting topic will be OSHA's Respirable crystalline silica standard.

Lisa Sullivan, Regional Industrial Hygienist in OSHA's Region 1 office, will begin the talk.  During her presentation, participants will learn about the new standard for Occupational Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica.  She will review the dangers and health risks of silica exposure and explain the requirements for Construction, as well as General Industry and Maritime.  The phase-in period and effective dates for various aspects of the standard will be covered during this presentation.  We will then have a presentation from Travelers Laboratory on laboratory analysis of silica samples.

The meeting will begin at 5:30pm at Travelers Laboratory, 90 Lamberton Road, Windsor, CT 06095.  A light dinner will be served.
