George Petroka CIH, CSP from IES Engineers, Principal-Director BioPharma and EHS Services, will be presenting on “Evaluating the Containment Performance of Containment Systems.”  The subject will focus on performing industrial hygiene risk assessment, including how to develop an effective sampling strategy for typical equipment where powder exposure is a concern in pharmaceutical applications.

The specific areas of discussion will be:

  • Review of ISPE Good Practice Guide Assessing the Particulate Containment Performance of Pharmaceutical Equipment aka SMEPAC
  • How to provide standard methodology for testing the containment efficiency of solids handling systems
  • How to provide a basis for understanding the containment performance capabilities of equipment
