Ethics - Virtual Training

September 23, 2021 - 11 am - 1 pm EST

The following questions will be posed and answered in this 2-hr training.

What is ethics?  Does a company’s unethical culture create its unethical leaders or do unethical leaders create an unethical company’s culture?  What is considered “reasonably practical” in health and safety professional ethics? What is the relationship between ethics, reason, justification, and emotion? What is the difference between ethics and the law? What are right versus wrong tests of moral temptation? How does bias factor into ethic decision making? What is the role of context in ethical decision-making? Based on how you react to a number of changing contexts occurring in a case study, what ethical approaches do you tend to use in ethical decision-making? Is there a stepwise model available for ethical decision-making? What are the principles and traits commonly included in health and safety codes of ethical conduct? What is practical wisdom and why is it important? Two additional case studies will be presented if time is available.
